Mrs. Tara Mason - Principal
Ms. Shrum

Mrs. Mason is the Principal at W. W. Robinson Elementary. She began her career at Central High School in 2001, where she taught English for 16 years. She spent five years in Winchester Public Schools serving as an Instructional Specialist and Assistant Principal. During the 2022-2023 school year, she returned to Shenandoah County Public Schools serving as the Assistant Principal and Acting Principal at Sandy Hook Elementary.

Mrs. Mason earned her bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Virginia and her Master’s degree in Education with a specialization in Curriculum and Instruction from Eastern Mennonite University. She earned her certification in School Administration from James Madison University.

Mrs. Mason currently lives in Woodstock with her teacher husband and their two daughters. She loves reading, learning, and spending time with friends and family.

Mrs. Becky Reynolds - Grades K & 1
Ms. Hopkins

Mrs. Reynolds is the Assistant Principal for Kindergarten and 1st grade at W. W. Robinson.  While this is her first year as AP, Mrs. Reynolds has worked at W. W. Robinson since the Fall of 2001.  She taught Kindergarten for one year, second grade for 10 years, and was a Reading Specialist for 11 years.  She is very excited to help lead in the very same school that she attended as a little girl.

Mrs. Reynolds is a 1997 graduate of Central High School and graduated with her Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Bridgewater College in 2001.  She later went on to earn her Master’s Degree in K-12 Reading Education from James Madison University in 2012.  She is currently finishing her K-12 Administration and Supervision Certification from James Madison University.

Mrs. Reynolds currently lives in Edinburg with her husband, their four children, and their dog, Maggie.  She enjoys watching her children play sports, learning, and being involved with the Woodstock Fire Department, where her husband and son are members.

Ms. Kaitlynn DaVolio - Grades 2 & 3
Ms. DaVolio

Ms. DaVolio is the Assistant Principal for 2nd and 3rd grade, and she is in her third year as an AP at WWR. She joined us from Frederick County Public Schools where she served as a special education teacher for grades K-5 and an Instructional Resource Teacher at the elementary level.

Ms. DaVolio was born and raised in New York, where she attended undergraduate school at SUNY Cortland, earning her bachelor’s degree in early childhood and childhood education. She attended SUNY Cortland as well for her Master’s degree in special education. She received an additional Master’s degree in school leadership and administration from Shenandoah University.

Ms. DaVolio enjoys reading, hiking, and spending time with friends and family.

Mrs. Diane McLean - Grades 4 & 5
Ms. McLean

Mrs. McLean is the Assistant Principal for 4th and 5th grade, and she has been at Robinson since the 2019-2019 school year.

She was born and raised in South Williamsport, PA; home of the Little League. She has taught in North Carolina, Louisiana, Texas, and Oregon before moving to Virginia. Mrs. McLean was the Special Education Coordinator for SCPS from 2013-2016, at which time she left to gain more experience in building level administration and became the Principal of a Private Day School. When the opportunity to return to SCPS as the Assistant Principal of WWRES became available, she jumped on it!

Mrs. McLean currently lives in Woodstock with her husband and their beautiful Husky, Sadie. She loves the outdoors, animals, and cooking with her husband.

Mrs. McLean says the best part about being at WWR is walking down the hall and getting hugs and high fives from the students!

When asked about what she is most looking forward to for the 24-25 school year, Mrs. McLean said, “As I enter my eighth year as assistant principal at WWRES, I am excited to watch our children grow, learn, and develop within our wonderful school community. I am privileged to work with such a dedicated staff who work tirelessly to ensure the best possible outcomes for all our students. I look forward to continuing to celebrate our students' achievements and successes. Together, we will drive continuous improvement and create a thriving environment for everyone at our school."
